My pregnant body

It has been so interesting how much my body has changed for this little peanut! At the very beginning at Week 5, I became nauseous. I was nauseous before I knew I was pregnant. I never taught it would take a toll on me. From Week 5-15, I was nauseous 24-7. The only thing I found to help was sleep. OH and believe me, I have slept. I also started working night shift at my new job at Week 7, so having a flipped schedule and working nights, I felt like I was always sleeping. The first time I threw up was around week 10 and I haven't stopped since. My first time throwing up, I was at work. I was so sick that night, but I was sick every night so I was just trying to tough it out. It was around 0430 in the morning and all I had gotten in my stomach was a peach and a few crackers. I was sitting down to chart and it came so quick I threw my hands to my face, wrong idea! It squirted everywhere! It was so gross. My poor co-workers. Lets just say, I've gotten really good at throwing up now. I can throw up and drive at the same time. ;) I stopped throwing up at Week 19. So far...crossing my fingers.

Let me tell you about my motivation. Its down the toilet! HA! I have no motivation at all and I'm so fatigued. I would live in a pig sty if it weren't for my amazing husband. He has definitely picked up my slack. Also, my cousins Karen and Jason have been living with us and they are so good to us. They always make sure the house is clean and I'm fed. My body gets tired and sore from laying around the house so much. ;) Work is definitely giving me a run for my money. Its so exhausting. When I come home all I can get myself to do is eat, shower, then sleep.

My hair has become more oily. Thank goodness for dry shampoo! I use it almost daily. Another thing, If I get a hair in my mouth or snot in the back of my throat...its so hard not to gag. haha I haven't thrown up over it, but its been close. Oh my body also has the normal hormonal zits. Face and back. :o !

After Week 18, I have been less nauseated which is nice. I only get sick at night now for the most part. Sometimes eating will make me sick. I just like plain, bland food. Except for Curry, I still love Curry.

Cravings: I haven't really had any. At the beginning of my pregnancy there were only a few things that sounded good and those were: Chicken Nuggets, French fries, and Ramen Noodles. Those were the only things I could choke down. Now, butternut squash ALWAYS sounds good. I think I've eaten a whole squash by myself. When I was working night shift, when I got off in the morning a Mcgriddle, hashbrown patty, and orange juice always sounded DELISH! So I got those about 4 times and then I was burnt out. At the beginning of Week 19 I started to feel like eating, and I could easily eat two plates of food, sometimes 3. It has been awesome. It feels so good to eat again!

Speaking of Orange Juice. OH MY GOODNESS! What terrible heart burn I have. Just thinking of heart burn gives me heart burn. Its not fun. Its weird though because sometimes I don't get it and other times I eat something random that shouldn't give me heart burn and I'm dying! Its random. There were times were I was eating 5-6 tums at work trying to calm the raging flames and it wouldn't do anything! So I called my doctor and I started Pepcid. It does help but not every time. Definitely better than nothing!

The normal reaction I get to saying I'm pregnant is: You're so tiny! where's the baby? No bump? ohh I see a little one. Hopefully this boy is big, healthy, and strong hiding in my warm body and not a tiny, scrony, undersized baby. After I eat is when he likes to pop out! I hope its just my long torso that likes to keep him hidden. I'm pretty sure my bump will be here in no time!
