Typical day

I’m writing about what happens today with our two boys! I’m currently have both boys on my lap watching Daniel Tiger which is a modern day Mr. Rogers. It’s by PBS. This morning Cole woke up at 6:19. I went a picked him up from his room. I bring him into bed with us every morning. Cass worked yesterday so he is on his way home from Vegas. He usually gets home at 8:30. Cole likes to watch a “show” on my phone. Cole is ready to go as soon as he wakes up. It takes Cass and I a little while to wake up. Cole was trying to pull me out of bed and saying “snack” ha he was hungry this morning! We just got back from vacation, normally we have pancakes, waffles or eggs and toast. We had cereal. That’s usually Cole’s special time with dad. After breakfast we change bums. Diaper count: 2. Then we played with toys until dad got home. Cole gets so excited when Daddy comes home. We put on our shoes and go to the Garage. Cole runs to the car and gets in the drivers seat. It’s one of Casss highlights of the day. Daddy usually showers and eats and then plays. Cole and I read some books and now I’m nursing beau while they are in the backyard. Cass is sweeping the back porch. Cole is playing in the wood pile. It’s left overs from the house. It’s abunch of 2x4s. He stacks a pile and knocks it over. The block wall around the house is about a third of the way done. Cass changed Cole’s poopy bum before going outside, they just came back in and Cole is poopy again. Diaper count: 4. We got a trampoline for Christmas and we decided to set it up today! Cole loves the trampoline! He is a really good jumper for an almost 2 year old! Beau pooped. Diaper count: 5. We put Cole down for his nap late because we were having to much fun jumping. After Cole’s nap we played in the playroom with his wooden cars and made jumps. Then we made dinner! We had Ohama steaks from grandpa Overman. They were delicious! Cole even liked them. We started a movie and then Cole pooped again. Diaper count: 6. This time I just put him in the bath. It was bath time anyways. I have to bathe the boys were night because they get so dirty throughout the day! And Beau just smells like spit up. So bathes are a must at this household! Plus it’s a really good whind down. Getting Cole dresses after the bath is usually funny. He loves to hang on the clothing rod and lift his legs. We call them his pull ups. He looks so skinny when he does them because his rib cage pops out. Then we go to Cole’s room and try to read books. We swaddle, say prayers and rock him to sleep. Tonight was his first night without a binky! It went okay so far. We will see how he does long term! It’s hard because Beau can have one but Cole can’t! Total diaper count: 7.
