BRAYTON CLAY OVERMAN

 I got a text from Nicole at 4 in the morning saying the baby was coming! YAHOO!!! I was at work so I couldn't wait to get off! I got to the hospital at 6:30 am to find, Pam, Cindy, Carson, and Nicole almost sleeping in the dark. Ha I was expecting lights, nurses, blood, and screaming! ha nope just the opposite. So we just sat and talked. It was SO COOL to be there. I learned so much! about birth. 

 The babies heart rate is so fast, 100-160's.

 There's the baby bump!! Poor Nicole got stuck 4 times for the IV and twice for the epidural! :(

Kade wasn't having anything to do with his momma in the hospital bed. All he wanted was grandpa!

 Cute little family! It came time to push, I could hardly hold my excitement in! Birth is definately not like I expected. On TV women are screaming and kicking and it was so calm and spiritual, then a little tiny baby popped out! The nurse began coaching Nicole on the breathing and the pushing. The doctor frequently checked in on Nicole and everything was looking good. She was practicing pushing and we started to see the dark hair on his little head and so the nurse got a few more things set up. Then the nurse started coaching Nicole again and on the 2nd push his head started to come out! It got intense! The nurse was like "Call the doctor, is the doctor coming, CALL THE DOCTOR!" The nurse delivered the baby before the doctor even got there! ha The baby didn't want to come out and then all the sudden, he was like "I'm outta here!" It was quite the experience to watch a tiny baby come from heaven!

 Nicole made it look so easy!

I've been calling the baby "the baby" for a reason. He had no name for a little awhile. Carson and Nicole had a list of 10 names and had a hard time narrowing it down. His name "Brayton Clay Overman" So cute! Cass claims me to be baby hungry. Nicole said I could be there while he was being born and Cass highly encouraged me to be here. Cass thought seeing a birth would make me not want a baby. It did the exact opposite! Nicole did so well and a soft, heaven sent baby came! how could you not want that?!?! p.s. Plan is to not to have a baby for two years. 

Baby Brayton is having retracting breathing. So he is currently in the NICU receiving breathing therapy. He's been getting better but this tiny lungs are trying to catch up! His stats are good but the doctor was concerned. So Nicole has stayed in the hospital, but plan on leaving soon!
