New Job :)

It was time for this mommy to get a job! Cole is 6.5 months. I'm so so so blessed that I was able to stay home and raise this little peanut. I cherished every moment. I'm definitely sad to leave him but I'm only working PRN. I get to make my own schedule! So nice! I'm working on the med-surg floor, which i'm excited for as a new-grad. Start from the basics and work my way up. I don't know if i ever posted my first nursing job...I started a month out of school at Sunrise Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. We took care of children from newborn to 18 years old. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the patients. After having my baby and having him go into the NICU, I couldn't handle the thought of going back. Starting in an ICU where we got the sick of the sick, it was to big of a bite for me. So I'm glad i'm going to the basics. This hospital JUST got chest pain certified, so i'm super excited about that. I LOVE the heart.

It is a 25 bed hospital, small, small town, everyone knows everybody. I started my clinical orientation on Tuesday which consisted 2 days. Everyone has been very friendly, way excited to make some friends! There is a mom and baby department, which I secretly have a desire to work there, I think. Mom and Baby were my FAVORITE clinicals in nursing school. The benefits of working in a small hospital, you can wear as many hats as you would like. I'm excited to see where my career takes off!

  1. And I can come and be your educator after I finish school. As long as there is a place for Gram, you can stay.
