Christmas before Thanksgiving... SHHH!

Haha I'm so obedient! My mother told me NOT to put up my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving....but I did. Tehe. No one comes to my house anyway so it didn't matter! ha I bought a Christmas tree at Target and I was just too excited not to put it up! My partner in crime wasn't opposed either!
I'M THANKFUL FOR CHRISTMAS.

Plus I love my new camera. ;) Decorated the tree on Sunday Funday!

I needed a break studying from school and Cass was at work, so I made this snowflakes from Popsicle sticks!

More Birthday Celebrations.

I have the most supportive In-Laws ever.... They came to Vegas and took Cass and I out to dinner for my birthday! Pam gave me a beautiful Angel decoration (Guardian Angel, love it) and Nicole gave me a foot shaver that I desperately needed and some spa foot soaks. Can't wait to use them!
After talking about scrubbing my feet, this cupcake looks good right?? haha it was delicious! That frosting was so yummy.
I have a cute husband.

Thanks family for coming to visit! I love celebrating all month long!

I'm 23.

HEY THERE! I'm 23 years old now. Still loving life. ;)
Every year my mother puts up a baby photo of me! I love it! I still have those very long fingers!
My sweet husband made me this yummy breakfast with the cute candles.
You can't know what I wished for ;)
This man is my world! He made my birthday so special! Thanks babe!

Chipolette burritos up the cayon. At a cute little camp fire.
Treated ourselves to some DQ blizzards! yummy
I love everyone! except Satan.
This picture gets to stay big because its hilarious! Cass loves chips and guacamole. I told Cass to jump and I would take a jumping picture. So he jumped and his guacamole started floating and you can tell he was very concerned about loosing his guac!..........and he caught it!
I love my new camera! Mt. Charleston had a huge fire over the summer and 28,000 acres burned. Which  means there are a lot of burned Joshua Trees!
Built me a warm fire :) Drove me on a beautiful canyon drive :) Feed me :) Sang to me :)

It happened.

This is how the story goes. First off, I want to thank my heavenly father for giving me this opportunity to go to school and further my education. I have learned SO much in this whole process. I got accepted into UNLV's accelerated BSN program. I applied multiple times in Utah 4 times to Dixie State. Once to SUU. Twice to Mohave. Nothing. God works in mysterious ways. I had to take 6 prerequisites and then the first time I applied, I got accepted. Into the best program in the valley. My friend Vanessa in my psychology class and I applied together. It was so nerve racking! I turned in my application on October 31st, pretty scary huh? Haha. THEN I started to hear rumor that the phone calls were going out. I waited all morning...I went to school and I kept updating the allnurses.com website and people were getting called. It was about noon and I had made up my mind that I didn't get accepted. Then I was sitting in my History of Rock and Roll class and a 702 number called me. Chills ran up my spine. I ran out of the class and it was MARY! Just the woman I wanted to call me! She offered me a position in the program. I was so excited. Right after I hung up I bursted into tears of excitement! Seriously one of the happiest days of my life.  I called Cass crying and he thought something was wrong, but I couldn't control myself! Then I called my family and they were all so excited. Cass surprised me and took me out to dinner to celebrate. We went to the melting pot. (another blogpost) I was seriously jittering with happiness all week. I've worked so hard and have been taught so much patience. I hope it makes me a better nurse because I had to fight to get there! There was a total of 140 students that applied and they accepted 48 students. They said it was the most competitive semester yet! I'm so blessed! Vanessa got accepted too! We are going to be nursing student buddies!

After finding out that I was accepted school was SO hard! I just wanted to be done and start the program already. This was me taking a nap during my lunch break.
Nursing 101: Take a picture in your cool new scrubs that wont be as cool in 16 months!

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST WEEKS!!!
-Accepted into the nursing program
-Ran a Half Marathon with my sister
-Turned 23 and had a wonderful birthday with my hubby
-Had a bachelorette party with all my girlys!

LET'S CELEBRATE!

After I told Cass I got into the nursing program he made reservations at the Melting Pot. BUT he kept it a secret. Let me tell you what....It was perfect! The melting pot was so yummy and I DEFINITELY ate a share for 3 people. We got the four course meal. Totally worth every calorie!

They gave me a birthday/congrats card!
First was the Cheese pot. We dipped bread, vegetables and apples in the cheese. It was delish!
Main Course: RAW MEAT! kinda crazy. The meat was so delicious and tender! My favorite was the teriyaki steak. mmm
Then...Dessert dipped in Chocolate. The fruit was my favorite! Bananas and strawberries.
THEN! they sang Happy Birthday to me! and chocolate dipped strawberries. This place was definitely worth the moolah.

I'm still so shocked I got into the nursing program! so unreal! haha
