House is coming along!

Wow....building a house is no joke. It is stressful! I'm definitely practicing my coping skills. It's hard to depend on other people. I'm never going to build during the end of the year again, to many holidays and hunting seasons. It's coming together slowly, but surely! It's almost time for just Cass and I to do the finish work. We are painting this week and hopefully start flooring next week.

Hi, My name is Cole and I'm ready to work on the house!...but I forgot my pants.
William came down for a week and helped Cass put in the windows! He was such a big help!
It is way to difficult to take Cole to the house and try to work. He just ends up eating anything he can find.

Cass worked hard putting in all the can lights and electrical boxes.

Up and down the ladder with the baby!
Watching Dad roof. The nail gun is LOUD!
The roof is loaded!
Cass and Scott loaded the whole roof in 10 hours. Pretty impressive!
Our loan closes Dec 29....we are going to have to make an extension. WAH!
We started laying the roof tiles. We have 3 big chunks done! but have so much more to do. awh!
I think this is the winner....I change my mind almost daily. Cass just might hurt me ;) But we are painting and ordered the wood tile, so thats a done deal!
Painting, painting, and more paintin

Cole's first Turkey Day

This year my family came to Mesquite for Thanksgiving! Cass had to work Thanksgiving this year, but we were still able to go visit him. My family got down here around 10am and we went over to the house and started working! My dad was ready to work on the roof. So while most people were watching football, we were nailing in some shingles!

This year we thought it would be fun to eat out for Thanksgiving. We ate at Hash House a Go Go. It totally hit the spot! The portions were awesome and the food was tasty! My dad got a butternut squash soup....it was the best soup I have ever tasted! After our stuffed tummies we headed over to the firehouse. Cole was excited to see his dad! They were just finishing up their turkey dinner. Cass gave my family the fire house tour.

It was a great first Thanksgiving for Cole! Although, he didn't know any different ;)

I love Thanksgiving Day to for the feelings it brings. It's a great day spending time with the ones you love. There are so many things to be grateful for. I love my family time!

William and Andrew on the roof.

Our Thanksgiving meal....yummy yummy yummy! There was Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Pumpkin Mashed Potatoes under the Turkey. There was light and dark turkey meat, green beans, carrots, and grilled corn. Perfect traditional meal!

Cass giving the family a tour. William was roaming around the firetruck.
Look! I'm in my dad's work boots!

The boys hanging out, digesting their Thanksgiving meal.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Loves Teddy Grams, Marshmallows, All flavors of puffs.
  • Facetiming Daddy at work and Gram!
  • His binky!
Dislikes:

  • Mom and Dad's shower lofas. He was staring at them so I toss one in the tub with him and he freaked out! I thought he wanted to play with it but he was checking it out. We have worked on it though, he is getting less afraid of it. He will touch them but still doesn't want to play with it.
  • Laying on his back. He wants to explore...always. Diaper changes are now very difficult!
Milestones:

  • TWO top teeth! Now he has a total of four.

Things I don’t want to forget:

  • When he is really tired he will take a big sigh when I lay him down for a nap. I always know when he be easy to put down when he sighs like that.
  • He army crawls all over the floor. In other words, he mops the floor every time he crawls. It is SO nasty with Cali's hair. I can't wait for our new home! No dog hair!
  • It is routine every morning after he wakes up, I bring him to our bed and nurse him. After he is done nursing he goes straight to Daddy's night stand and shakes his pill bottles.
  • Pats the top of his head when he is nursing. :)
  • He will whine and say "Ma, Ma, Ma" at my feet until I pick him up.
  • His two big toes are always hitchhiking. (picture below)
Daddy has been working a lot of extra overtime, so this is how we cope.
