They were both out cold!!
and....they use a lot of diapers...just one day with two babies in diapers!

California with Tori.

Victoria is just one of those good friends that you feel like you will have forever. She will forever and always be my Dixie chick. Her and her husband are living on the Navy base in Port Huememe, California. We got to go visit them for the weekend, even though the wind TOTALLY ruined our beach trips, we had fun.
It was so windy, we got sand basted.
Chilly and had to wear our jackets.
Cole loved the waves but it was SO cold. He would of probably gotten in if it weren't for the dang wind!

Little stud.

We set up camp, only for a minute and they we got blown away.

We stopped at the fruit stand it was DELICIOUS! we got strawberries, oranges, avacados and a pineapple. The strawberries were everyone's favorite. Then this bird was hilarious! It would laugh with you, say "Hello", "baby", "Bye, bye" (and wave his head) I just felt like this bird really wanted to be a human! haha
Tori, Lucy and her cute baby bump! Baby Girl #2.

Dixie Chick for eva.

Cole picked on Lucy the whole time. It was hard having to get after him all the time but Lucy was tough!

Mrs. Homemaker right here. Yeah....I made freezer jam. We eat it on EVERYTHING!

So tasty! and they showed me a little love.

Beau watched me the whole time.

Spring Break with Lex

The boys riding around in the truck in the backyard.
We went down to Vegas for the day for some good food and sight seeing.
I love the Bellagio. They always have fresh flower decorations.
Watching the water fountain show.
Cole did really well!
I parked his busy body in front of these Coke Keychains and it entertained him for a long time!
This was Beau's first time on the strip.
These girls are AWESOME with the boys
and not to mention, they are adorable.
Cole was in Heaven trying on all these shoes. Ha
Benjas and ShakeShack is where we ate. They both HIT THE SPOT! YUMMY!!
Cole loved this water fountain.
He ran up and down and around sticking his hands in the water.
Mike and Cass started putting the play set together.
Swinging in the hammock.
Beau is always happy where Cole is.
Lex WAS THE BEST! with Beau. She took really good care of him. She changed his diapers, put him down for naps, and played with him. She is SO creative in entertaining him.
Lex was so excited for the baby chickens, but so was I!
We beat my mom out to the car, so we sat in the pool by the car until she got there. An old man came and dumped water on us from his bottle! haha
Omg! This picture is supposed to go on the blog when Gram came to visit..but lex was still here. Cole was flying a kite for the first time with Gram. He was so excited.

Here are the highlights of the trip:

  • Lex was showing our new chicken Hei Hei to Beau. Out of nowhere Beau snagged the chick and squeezed her with his little fat chubby hands, and his guns (tight grip). Lex pried the chicken out of his one hand and then Hei Hei was free only for a second until Beau snagged her with his other hand. Hei Hei was peeping for help, we hope she lives.

  • We had a great weekend with Cass, my buddy. I told the dating story of Cass and I when I called him buddy instead of boyfriend and Cass was upset. So after the story lex says to Cass “Bye, buddy” and we went to Walmart.

  • At Walmart there are Googly balls, Cass had previously told me no more balls. Then we finished out shopping and saw a man with a pink one! So we went back looking for them and found a few left and bought a blue and purple one. Lex showed Cass the balls before I came in the house and he said to me “I see your guilty face”

  • During Alexis’s birthday dinner, Cass said the prayer blessing Lex and Gram and Alexa came alive during the prayer. It was hilarious. We all started to laugh.

  • Gram left a special gold bag in the tree for future conversation pieces

  • We went for a 4 hour walk. Went to the Mexican market for coconut bread with my Spanish speaking mom and there was no bread. Then we visited the goats and babies. One of the goats was crowning. Then we went to the park and they were doing a taco fundraiser and they were DELICIOUS!! Then we walked home in 85 degree weather. It was warm. Then a few hours later, dark rain clouds came and it was a monsoon. We played outside in the mud. Cole was wet from head to toe, and shortly there after Beau was also. We put footprints on the cement. Then we jumped on the trampoline in the rain.

  • Gram brought balloons, and tied them to Beau’s arms and legs and he kicked and made the balloons bounce. He loved it.

  • Gram brought Cole a matchbox motorcycle, matchbox cars, plastic sand trucks, and treats.

  • Lex, Cole, Beau and I went to Ace Hardware and bought six baby chicks. We brought them home, and got them all set up, bed, food, water, heating lamp. We gave them all names, Henrietta, Reena, Gin, the golden girls,  and Hei Hei.

Baby Chicks!

We added 6 new baby chicks to the family. Cass and I have been watching for chicks and talking about it for a while. Lex was in town and she loves animals!! We called Ace hardware and the chicks came in TODAY! We got all set up for them. They live inside for the first 6 weeks of their lives under a heat lamp. We are learning how to take care of them on Pinterest. Haha right now we have more names than chickens. Naming chickens is so much fun! So much easier than naming your children.
Lex named this one Reena
This is Henrietta
This is Hei Hei
This is one of the Golden girls.
This is the other. They are exactly the same and we can't tell them apart.
This is Gin.
I'm updating this post....We have added TWO more chickens to the roost. We felt the need to add two more ladies to the group. They are doing so well.
This is Chicken Nugget because she is definitely the SMALLEST in the group.
Then last but not least...This is Kim KardashiHEN. Look at that pose! HAHA
